THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: OpenSolaris Labs & Demos

This month's meeting agenda:

• What's new at Sun (10-15 min)
• Short OpenSolaris Intro Labs to be done on your laptop and demo'ed on the screen
  • ZFS snapshots & cloning
  • IPS / IPS PackageManager
  • Solaris Containers
  • Crossbow
• To do the labs, you will need your laptop and a running installation of OpenSolaris
  • if you didn't come last month, that's OK
  • if you don't want to do the labs, you can watch and follow along
    

WHEN: August 18, 4:30-6:30. This group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to discuss topics related to Sun Microsystems software, hardware and services.

WHERE: Sun Microsystems, 2398 E. Camelback Rd., Suite 950, Phoenix, AZ 85016 (click here for map)

PARKING: is available in the underground parking lots. Follow the signs on the west side of the complex to Visitor Parking. Proceed to the red elevators for building 2398 and go to the 9th floor. We will validate parking. You can also park for free across the street at the mall area.
